Hello! I'm Kostas, a theoretical physicist working on gravity, cosmology, and astrophysics. I am currently a Research Fellow at the University of Malta.

My research focuses on understanding the geometric and physical foundations of gravitational theories and their cosmological implications. I work on topics including modified gravity (teleparallel, Horndeski, Gauss-Bonnet), black holes, wormholes, fundamental symmetries of nature via Noether's theorem, and primordial black holes. Since 2022, I also work on machine learning techniques in cosmology, including neural network reconstructions of cosmological observables and model-independent analyses.

I obtained my PhD from the University of Naples "Federico II" in 2019, with a thesis on Geometric Foundations of Gravity and Applications. Before joining the University of Malta, I held postdoctoral positions at Yangzhou University (China), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), Nazarbayev University (Kazakhstan), and a PNRR fellowship at Transilvania University of Brașov (Romania), where I led the COSMOROM project on cosmology with advanced statistics and machine learning.

I also hold a second MSc in Information Systems from the Hellenic Open University (2022).
